What we do
We repair DCS appliances in San Francisco and across the Bay Area. The work covers the whole range of the line: outdoor grills, side burners and griddles, outdoor refrigeration and ice makers, plus the indoor ranges, cooktops, wall ovens, warming drawers, DishDrawers, hoods and microwaves that sit in professional-style kitchens. Each product line has its own service page and its own appliance guide.
Who calls us
Most requests come from homeowners who built an outdoor kitchen on a deck, patio or roof terrace and want it working for the next dinner party. Others come from owners of high-end indoor kitchens, where a range burner or a DishDrawer fault disrupts the whole household. Landlords and property managers also contact us when a rental unit has DCS equipment that needs a diagnosis before anyone decides what to do with it.
How we work
Every job follows the same three commitments.
- We diagnose before we repair, so the fix matches the actual fault rather than a guess.
- You get a written estimate that explains what was found and what the repair involves.
- Nothing is repaired without your approval.
We do not push replacement when a repair makes sense, and we say so plainly when a repair is not worth pursuing. The article on repair versus replace explains the factors we weigh.
Why the model number comes first
DCS has built several generations of each product, and parts and procedures differ between them. A Series 7 built-in grill is not serviced like a Series 9. The model number tells the technician which generation is in front of them before the visit starts. Our guide to finding your model number shows where the label usually sits on each type of appliance, and the model directory lists the models we see most often.
Local knowledge
Bay Area weather is hard on outdoor equipment. Marine fog and salt air near the coast work on terminals and stainless fittings, wind on hills and roof decks disturbs burner flames, and winter rain finds its way into igniters and control panels. We look for these effects first when an outdoor appliance misbehaves. You can see the communities we cover on the locations page.
