Error codeA1
ApplianceWall Oven
What A1 means
Showing A1, a DCS WODV230 or WOSV230 is telling you it got too hot. It halts every function and gives five beeps.
How to respond
Give the oven time to cool off. Once the temperature has dropped and the door lock has released, the alert vanishes and cooking can resume. The wall switch should stay on while the oven is hot, as the cooling fans depend on it. Any button press ends continued beeping.
If A1 repeats
Wait for the fans to halt and the oven to cool all the way, then switch off power at the wall. Report the code to Customer Care or a technician.
Ovens in San Francisco and the Bay Area are handled through DCS wall oven repair; the number is (415) 969-2271. Have the alert code and model number ready when you call.
Model compatibility: DCS reuses codes across series and model years, so A1 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
