The signal
Each indicator on the display flashes, and it keeps flashing
Unit: DCS RF15I outdoor ice maker
Why the display behaves this way
The unit checks itself all the time. Flashing on every indicator is its way of announcing a communication error: the main board cannot reach the user interface any longer.
Manual guidance
The manual’s answer is a call to service so that a diagnostic check can be done.
Similar flashing displays
ICE flashing: the condenser temperature sensor has failed
OFF flashing: the bin temperature sensor has failed
Ice maker service in San Francisco and the Bay Area
For an RF15I in San Francisco or elsewhere around the Bay Area, start with DCS ice maker repair or ring (415) 969-2271. Describe how the indicators are flashing and keep the model number nearby.
Model compatibility: DCS reuses codes across series and model years, so all indicators flashing may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
