About this model

Model overview

What we know about the BG27-BQRN

The BG27-BQRN is an outdoor grill, BG series, 27 inches wide. It is one of several BG models we see, along with the BG36-BQARN and the BG48-BQRN. Because BG grills can be freestanding or built in, we confirm the installation on arrival. Read the fuel from the label and your gas connection.

Common complaints

Owners describe slow starts, a burner that will not catch, or heat that is lopsided. On a compact 27-inch grill the cause is frequently simple: a port with debris, a damp electrode, or a regulator reading low. Because these grills are not new, wear on knobs, hoses and grates can add to the picture.

Fuel and connection

Before testing anything, we establish what feeds the grill: a propane tank with a regulator or a house gas line with a shut-off valve. Each path has its own checks. For a tank, you can close the valve and look at the hose visually. For a line feed, confirm the shut-off valve handle is in the open position, and nothing more.

Owner checks

  • Close the gas supply valve before inspecting; reopen it slowly for a relight with the lid open.
  • Look at the outlet and its GFCI if there is an electric igniter.
  • Wipe the burner area when cold.
  • Note exact symptoms and when you last cooked on it.

Do not open panels, touch fittings, or relight after a gas smell. Smelling gas is a stop sign. Exit the area, use no switches, and call the gas utility or 911 from a safe place outdoors.

Next steps

Booking runs through DCS outdoor grill repair: we diagnose, estimate in writing, and repair only what you approve. Use DCS outdoor grills to find the model label before the visit.

Why we read the label

Grills in the BG series came in several configurations, and the letters after the width do not tell the full story. A photo of the nameplate saves a return trip because it settles fuel, mounting and parts questions in one look.
